Mixed Ability Pilates

A supportive, intelligently layered class that offers a strong workout at every level.

Mixed Ability Pilates is designed so everyone works to their own level — whether you are new to Pilates, returning after time away, or already strong and experienced. Exercises are taught with clear progressions and options, meaning you can make the class as challenging or supportive as your body needs on the day.

Classes build strength, mobility, balance, and postural awareness through purposeful, mindful movement. While the teaching is calm and precise, the work itself is effective, deep, and often deceptively challenging. You will strengthen from the inside out, improve control and coordination, and leave feeling worked — not worn out.

Who is this class for?

  • New to Pilates or returning after a break
  • Already active but want smarter, more effective movement
  • Want a strong workout without high impact
  • Managing stiffness, fatigue, or niggles while still building strength
  • Prefer a class where exercises are adapted and progressed, not one-size-fits-all
  • Want to feel stronger, more stable, and more confident in everyday movement

You do not need to be flexible or experienced — but you will be encouraged to work at a level that challenges you safely.

What to expect

  • Small groups with individual guidance and progression
  • Full-body strengthening from feet → legs → pelvis → core → upper body
  • Layered exercises so beginners and experienced movers work side-by-side
  • Clear cues with options to increase or decrease intensity
  • Classes adapted to the people in the room — you control the challenge
